The Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea is inspired by the 1960s 'Deep Sea Special' experiment. In 2012, Rolex introduced the 'Rolex Deepsea Challenge' for James Cameron's Deepsea Challenger Expedition, taking a Rolex watch to the deepest point on Earth in a custom submersible. In 2014 Rolex introduced a commemorative “James Cameron Dial '' option to the Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea ref 116660 with a blue dial that fades to black.

This Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea was sold for the first time in April 2024.

The Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea has a unique clasp design. The clasp has a double extension system, with a Fliplock extension link which allows the wearer to either extend or shorten the bracelet by 26 millimeters. However, it also comes with a Glidelock functionality that allows the wearer to adjust the bracelet length up to 20 mm.

This Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea is in Mint condition and comes with the original Rolex Warranty Card and Box. Furthermore, the watch still has Worldwide Rolex Warranty until April 2029.
