In 2008, Rolex shelved the Sea-Dweller model in favor of a new and much larger Deepsea Sea-Dweller (DSSD) watch. Nevertheless, after six years, the Swiss watchmaking giant decided to bring it back, and at Baselworld in 2014 the Sea-Dweller 4000 ref. 116600 made its debut. Rolex has been discontinued the 116600 in 2017.
The rotatable bezel is one of the key functionalities of the Sea Dweller. The luminescent capsule on the zero marker makes sure that a diver is always able to accurately monitor diving time, no matter how dark the environment.
The 40mm Sea-Dweller is equipped with a helium escape valve allowing for a water-resistance of 4,000ft or 1,220m. This Sea Dweller features a ceramic bezel, which is nearly scratch-proof.
This Sea Dweller comes with a Black dial and bezel and the famous Rolex Oyster bracelet. The watch is fully made out of stainless steel. Rolex uses 904L in its steel watches, which is an extremely resistant and highly polishable superalloy.
This specific Rolex Sea Dweller is originally delivered in January 2017 and is in mint condition and comes as a full-set including the original Rolex papers and box. Furthermore, the watch has been serviced by our watchmakers, and therefore it comes with one year of warranty.
