The Rolex Milgauss is a watch that was designed for people who work in environments where strong magnetic fields can interfere with the accuracy of a mechanical timepiece. The name "Milgauss" comes from the French word "mille," which means "thousand," and the unit of magnetic field strength, the "gauss." The watch is able to withstand magnetic fields up to 1,000 gauss, hence the name.

This Rolex Milgauss 'Black Dial' was sold for the first time in June 2019.

The Rolex Milgauss reference 116400 is a version of the watch that was introduced in 2007. The 116400GV also features a green sapphire crystal, which is a signature feature of this generation of the Milgauss.
