Explorer 1 39 'MK2'

The Rolex Explorer I 39 reference 214270 was first released in 2010 at Baselworld.This new Explorer featured some major upgrades, including a larger 39mm case and the solid-link 904L stainless steel Oyster bracelet.

The new movement calibre 3132 featured upgrades like the Parachrom Blue hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers for greater shock and temperature resistance a definite benefit for the robust adventure watch.

This particular Explorer I is equipped with a Mark II Dial featuring 3, 6 and 9 Arabic hour markers with Chromalight. The Chromalight can be recognized by the lume, which lights up in blue in the dark.
