Rolex introduced the original Datejust in 1945 to celebrate the company's 40th anniversary. Due to the enormous success, Rolex released the first Lady-Datejust in 1957.

This Rolex Datejust 'Mother of Pearl Diamond Dial' was sold for the first time in December 2001.

This Datejust is made out of a combination of 18k Yellow Gold and stainless steel which is fitted with a Jubilee bracelet, and comes with a Mother of Pearl Diamond Dial. Each mother of pearl dial is a unique piece and it is impossible to encounter an identical dial. Having the ability to change color, depending on the light, gives it a nature full of mystery and surprises.
