The new movement calibre 3132 featured upgrades like the Parachrom Blue hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers for greater shock and temperature resistance a definite benefit for the robust adventure watch.

This particular Explorer I is equipped with a Mark II Dial featuring 3, 6 and 9 Arabic hour markers with Chromalight. The Chromalight can be recognised by the lume, which lights up in blue in the dark.
